Safety Standard
Technical Warning and Safety Standard: Hydrogen has the highest combustion and explosion speed among industrial gases and is extremely sensitive. It forms an explosive atmosphere (ATEX) over a wide concentration range when mixed with air. Being the smallest molecule, it can escape through micro-level leaks. Therefore, valve connections (left-hand thread/flammable gas standard) are tested on every filling. Storage areas must be equipped with ex-proof systems and high-level (roof) ventilation, as hydrogen is much lighter than air and accumulates at ceiling height.
