High Purity Gases

High Purity Methane (CH₄)

Methane in purity grades 2.5 and 3.0 for calibration, detector gas mixtures and laboratory research.

Product Description

High purity methane is used as a reference component in the calibration of gas analysers and in preparing argon–methane detector gas mixtures (such as P-10). Gas purity and composition can influence the repeatability of calibration and gas-mixture preparation. Suitability for combustion and energy research should be evaluated according to the application and technical documentation. We supply it in cylinders according to your needs.

Key Features

  • ✓Supplied in grades 2.5, 3.0 (99.5% – 99.9%)
  • ✓Repeatable reference component for calibration and mixture preparation
  • ✓Certificate of Analysis (CoA) for every batch
  • ✓Shipment in compliance with ADR rules and high-pressure safety standards

Usage Areas

Calibration and reference gas for gas analysers
Argon–methane detector gas mixtures (such as P-10)
Combustion and energy R&D
Chemical synthesis and laboratory research

Supply and Storage Models

1. High-Pressure Cylinders

Supplied in cylinders suitable for high purity gas service, for the daily consumption of laboratories, R&D centres and analytical instruments. The purity grade and cylinder type are defined together according to your needs.

2. Cylinder Bundle Systems

Manifold-connected cylinder bundle systems may be considered for high gas consumption facilities in terms of flow rate, pressure, and cylinder replacement planning. Suitable capacity and backup requirements should be determined for each project.

Safety Standard

Technical Warning and Safety Standard: Methane is an extremely flammable gas. Cylinders must be stored upright and secured in well-ventilated areas, away from sparks, flames and heat sources; installations must comply with the relevant standards and connections must be leak-tested regularly.
